New chapter to my life.....dating a man

I had a long chat tonight with my girlfriend who lives about 700 miles away, we have been dating 2 years and with our illness's and economic issues it will be longer to be here together. I said to her how lonely I get sometimes and she said I have told you to see people, go out and satisfy that desire you have. I will always love you but you must try dating a guy so you will know whether it is for you or not. She is of course is Bi and I am thinking I am too. I know it is crazy but I do have a desire to meet a male maybe get free meals lol out of it and make friendships.

As I played Shawn all those years I was never ever alone, I dated some of the most intelligent, gorgeous women and some not so much but it was something I prided myself and now could not get a date if it killed me. I do find the men sexy, some intriguing and also I am frighten of the what if's. I am a virgin here, imagine a 50 year old virgin.

So I will have to figure out how to by pass the straight, gay and bi status like she said " I wouldn't say straight, lez, bi, polar bear, or sunshine ... but that's me, you always say your not a label, you are a woman." Just remember ... no matter what you do ... i do love you, and you best be careful.

And that I will. Here's to another new chapter in my life and bio.

Fashion at the camp grounds

First and foremost I want to share with you why the big deal with clothes, I am 51 and I thought I need to dress like that only to realize I am being silly so I have been on many web pages looking at clothes and seeing what right and wrong. I want comfort for sure and not to look old, hell I deserve it but I don’t need to dress like a teen (though, I would have to love a body like that again) so age appropriate is a big factor. Going camping should be jeans, shorts, t-shirts and sweatshirts I do believe since the males I am with are all married lol. Why entice if isn’t mine, right?
I haven’t been camping in over 25 years, so this will be something fresh and no running baths for me, my beautiful nails will look like crap and hair messed up but hey I am looking forward to just being with friends, sharing stories and having fun. My fashion will have to wait, flair is for going out and Wal-Mart doesn’t count lol.
The sun dresses are for going out, I so love the linen look and I am hoping it looks great one me again if I were 30 -40 I wouldn’t me writing this. As you can see I am self-conscious of clothes and fashion, it is who I am and living in male clothes there was no style unless I gave it flair and then it screamed I was out of the closet. All pictures I posted were examples, to get some idea, my cousin made me aware with the sun dress camping, not a good thing lol.  I will be wearing a floppy hat to avoid direct sun light since I have to be careful now (radiation), I want to look pretty, attractive and comfortable. I guess it is trial and error from now on, and as I lose more weight clothes will look differently.

“Dress as you want but look good doing it” is my motto.

Humanity...where is it??

Oh wow, what a fantastic video the power of his words are what I fight for everyday at the end I was and still am in tears because its true.

I have witnessed so much in the last 40 years in ways people would back away shaking their heads having no part and it takes a strong mind and a loving heart to want what I am seeking.

So please take a few minutes in your day, watch what he emphasizes and be sure I am one of the many that is fighting for our equality as a human to live freely.

I am no one without you and only you can make a difference...please pass this on. ♥ ♥ ♥

ME

Hello everyone, god it has been a while since I have written but I have so many prepostings to share.

Sitting here wondering why it has taken so long to actually write this down, thoughts belonging on paper for emotional status why things are the way there. For 40 years, I portrayed somebody I wasn’t to please people around me. Now I am on this journey to find the person that I am and it is the most difficult thing I’ve ever tried to do, having cancer wasn’t as scary as living my life. I am experiencing what a real woman feels like and it sounds strange I never knew what this was like up until now. When I’m asked to go out with my friends it used to take me about 10 minutes to get ready now it takes me 40 minutes. Fuss and cuss, tease my hair, apply makeup just to look pretty. As a male it would take me 10 minutes to put on shoes and a sweatshirt, jeans and a jacket and out the door I went.

My girlfriends are very supportive it’s like watching a child learn new things, my expressions, the excitement, embarrassments the learning of becoming a woman. I was reading my Facebook postings and some of them are happy and some were sad, but the postings that got to me were the ones that were replied by my girlfriends. After reading them the tears started flowing and didn’t stop for hours because I know that this journey to be who I am is making me the happiest person ever.

This afternoon I pampered myself facials, pedicure, manicure, softening of creams which I only do once a month. I wish there was a book or manual to teaching to be a female but there’s no such thing it’s all trial and error. A young girl growing up learns everyday how to become a woman, her mind is developed to accept many different things, my mother taught me so much just in case and now I’m practicing learning, pretending, developing, enjoying the finer things in life accepting myself as a female. I want to thank all my girlfriends and their boyfriends and husbands for their support. I also want to thank some of my family who also are a big supportive fan without them I don’t think I could do this without them.

**Let me tell you my evening last night, I went to my girlfriend’s house for dinner and spent time with the family and friends. I watched the excitement of baking a cake, making frosting from scratch, laughter and good ole fashion fun. I had seen moments such as these growing up but could not participated because it was not the “male” thing to do, so I would ignore them and follow move on.  I always have to take a minute and psych myself up so I can go outside to the garage where the men are. Now let me explain, for 32 years I have been afraid of men because of the incident were men took advantage of me, I know these men would never do anything but I’m still scared. Why still, am so frightened? When I am there with them I am comfortable, my guard is down and I am excited to be with them. They have a way to making me feel like a woman, is it the compliments or the atmosphere; I’m just so relaxed talking with them.

I could wear jeans and a sweatshirt and be just like one of the girls but I get all dressed up, make myself up extra pretty for the attention of men. There is something powerful about attracting males that excites me and I cannot explain it. I have tossed it around my head trying to find an answer but something hormonal is unbalanced for me to act this way. I’ve always been attracted to women but now something’s wrong, something is changing that I want the attention from males. It is not a sexual thing, I cannot put my finger on it but there is a definite desire to please myself and attract males. I no longer look at women as a sexual play thing now I look at them, mannerism and how critical they dress. I still find women attractive but not like I used to.

My girlfriend or my partner said to me one day that someday this will happen, that I desire a man and I told her she was full of it, I never had the desire to be with a man, for some reason something in me wants that affection which is leaving me dumbfounded and confused. I want to be 17 again, I want to experience what it is like to be a girl in love I want the fulfillment of being a straight woman and see the difference.
So now I am left with many things to think about, life is so confusing well my life that is, so if you see a posting in my Facebook more of men you will understand that I am having a hormonal breakdown.

I’m still Shauna, still growing, still learning, experiencing things I never thought possible and enjoying my journey.
                                                                                 I am Me.

Fear in losing what is not ours

What is sad with our loves and friendships is how personal they are or not. People in general are creatures of habit, either they like something for what it is or they don't, no changing that. Others either love changes as where when we cha

nge they are displeased and disappear. I prefer my friends and family be honest up front this way nothing is sugar coated and the hurt isn't prolonged to a time I am most vulnerable.

I have read and heard many tragic stories involving friendships where the transwoman or man lost friends and had to start over and its heart breaking, what I suggest is its like beginning a new life and the people you meet with know you as you are and the friendship will grow from there. The same went with the gay community, the same person they knew the day before are no longer a friend. What changes this I often ask, we are who we are and we should be accepted.

My friends and there are many of them, some stayed and are truly the love in my friendship, they care about me and I them. Many pretended they cared and disappeared, oh well I can't please everyone. And my male friends, well I lost the bonding, the male privilege we once had, now I am a woman to them.

And then I have a few other males that know me from the inside, where the awesomeness starts from and has stayed over the years of this mighty long and extremely difficult journey.

So what I am saying, true friends will be there to hold your hand, stand behind you and not turn their back on someone so awesome to change the appearance and not change the person they really met (Inside) because frankly we are all eye candy or as I say, wrappers, its what is INSIDE that counts and that is just how it is.

I will be your friend always, I will care about you and be there when you need me most and most of all love the person which who you are ♥♥♥

Halloween and the update

Happy Halloween....Its been a whole month since I last wrote. I am looking forward to my trip home, actually looking forward is putting it mildly. I am actually counting down the days and hours, isn't that sad.
When I return to Virginia, I have plans on leaving there in January and returning to Illinois but I have a couple more chemo treatments to complete. The tumor will not be removed yet because it sits too close to my spine so with that said the surgeon will not perform the needed procedure until the tumor has shrunk. The chemo doctor suggested 6 more treatments, once a month and stronger ones than before.

How will this effect me, well the last treatments made me energetic the very next day and ill on the second, so I am wondering what the new medicine will do to me. Also I lost all my hair which has since then grown back and am growing hair now on my chest and a mustache. I have never had to worry about that and something with the chemo has triggered that. More electrolysis and I will be hair free again.

Since my last treatments I had lost 48 pounds, if I had lost in the conventional way it would have been a miracle but I lost muscle too which made me look skinny and unhealthy. I have gained 15 lbs now and putting it back on with muscle, trust me when I say this is way harder than it sounds.

The trip up north will not only be refreshing but will also heighten my spirits, I miss home where my friends are, my support if you will. Being on the east coast really didn't work out for me, tried it and was highly disappointed. Also wished I had met some of my friends there, Suzanne and Breanna I am hopefully going to see as well as my favorite "anonymous female". Also supposed to meet Cosette Lee, she lives in Virginia somewhere.

If I had my way I would meet all my friends, maybe I will take a road trip soon as I get established and travel meeting everyone, that would fulfill a massive dream. My friends are so important to me, they are my support and give me reasons to fight my illness.

I am sorry for waiting so long to update this blog, and to think all I have is time. I also should be writing my book but again, the reasons are the same with my blog worrying about something I can't control and it leaves me with nothing but wasted time.

I hope you all are alright, have yourself a Happy Halloween and I will be seeing you again soon.

Time to hide, the kiddies will be here and my brother didn't buy any candy. Now thats a trick and my treat lol.

I am back again "Smiles"

So now I am back to work and saving for a apartment of my own or share with someone other than my brother. I am looking into sharing for the sake that rent is so high here, a studio apartment goes for $1200 a month but if you share it could be $900. I am looking into pride roommates since I do want to be with someone who isn't against transgenders.
I am also looking into another new laptop, this one is 6 years old and can not keep up with my activities, the video is old as well as the technology. With my 17% off with Dell, I will get a sweet unit for little money.

So what have I done since moving to Virginia? Well other than getting a job, nothing really. I am looking into going back to therapy and getting back on my hormones, I sure miss them more than anything. There is so much I need to do but am limited to funds, saving will be helpful. No clothes or shoes for awhile, I now have medical insurance so I will see a doctor soon, I have trigger thumbs caused by too much use of the keyboard.

I sure miss my friends in Illinois, not that I seen them everyday its just well home was there and now its here.

I need to find my friends here, the ladies I know online and hang out with them. Give me something to do and I will feel more at home when I bond with them.
Thanksgiving is done and over, now for Christmas and hopefully a wonderful new year is ahead.

I wonder with a Dell do I get a ford too, naaa stick to my Toyota lol.

Ending all the sorrow

The easy way away from this mess I call life is suicide, take my life out of this sorry place we call earth. Since not working anymore I haven't been able to pay my mortgage, hardly pay my bills and not able to continue with transitioning. What a $%cked up mess.

Suicide sounds too easy and the people I will hurt in this process is something I can not do, I would rather suffer fate than hurt my friends and family. I will probably end up on the streets til I find work again, this isn't my first time living on the streets but I never thought it would be like this again. This recession is really hurting everything.

I hear people complaining about their jobs and you know what I wish I had their job I will never complain because I will finally be working.

When I was working I had everything, the best electronic toys, directv, satellite radio, fast internet, new clothes and kept my truck clean. My parents loved what I did for them, I gave them internet, new computers and printers, directv, cell phones and satellite radio which I paid for everything.
Then I got laid off, I had enough funds to pay 10 months of my mortgage payments and bills after that I would be in trouble. I lost the directv and satellite radio first and all hell broke loose because I couldn't pay their bill, my stepmother chewed me out over not being able to pay for these things. So she called Directv and had the service turned on in her name but refused to turn it on for me. The cell phones were a family plan that too was changed. I lost all respect from them because I couldn't pay their bill anymore. I was used and kicked to the curb because I no longer could give them their toys. I also was frowned upon when I came out to the world being a woman. My brothers and sister had open arms, my aunts, uncles and cousins all accepted me but the two people whom I call my parents shunned me.

When I was 16 years old, I attempted suicide, swallowed alot of pills wanting to end the knowledge of my intersex issue. I knew I was different, I was shown that and hiding was going to be a challenge so I assumed taking the pills would end that. Only thing is, I was hurting all who knew and loved me so I called an ambulance and rushed me to the hospital to pump my stomach and save my life. I didn't chicken out nor did I do it for attention, I only wanted peace which I never achieved.

My father was pissed and his new wife made me pay for the therapy sessions to find out why I did it. They knew why I did it but never accepted it. I was grounded, spanked and was to give all my earnings to pay the therapist bill.

So here I am 32 years later wanting to do it again, take out my life to relieve my suffering though I again will not do because of who I know and who love me.

Yes I am poor but I am rich with love and friendships, and suicide may be a way out but not for this lady for I am tougher than that.

Pulling the wool

Last night I sat around trying to come up with the best April fools joke I could come up with and it hit me, I decided to post a shaved head on face book and let it ride. I did not think of the responses that I would have received but it was overwhelming, so overwhelming that I had to admit it was a joke before the day went on. One of my best features beside my smile, is my long luxurious hair and for me to cut that I would probably die.
I never knew how people know me like they do, one woman figured me out before anyone else that is why I admitted it was a prank. So sorry Véronique and Alan.

My straight friends also commented on my hair as they too seen the posting on FB which they too were quite in shock that I could just shave my head. If I had to cut it I would but to more of a feminine cut, I need bangs for that. I do love my long hair more so than short, it just makes me feel pretty.
I take great lengths taking care of my hair, and I am so thankful I didn't get my fathers genes or I would be getting many plugs or various amounts of wigs.

So I want to say sorry for the scare my friends, and say not to worry these locks are staying with me for a very long time.

I (evil grin)meant to pull the wool over your eyes {laughing}
